Twelve of the 19 Duggar children have chicken pox on the 19 Kids and Counting episode that originally aired August 24, 2010. Dad Jim Bob, takes temperatures and doles out medicine.
Mom Michelle can't help. She's still in Little Rock, AR with Josie, their premature baby. Josie is doing well, but she can't be around anyone with chicken pox.
Luckily, Grandma is there. Since the Duggars have just returned from a trip, she is doing an estimated 50 loads of laundry.
Always looking on the bright side, Joseph is happy he didn't have to mow the lawn while he was sick. All of the children with chicken pox are glad that they will not get shingles when they are older.
On this episode, the Duggars also pay tribute to Michelle's father who passed away. The family has mixed emotions about his death. Although they are sad he is gone, they are thankful for all the time they spent with him.
