After a long wait, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam premiered September 3, 2010. Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers star in this musical. The Jonas Brothers younger brother, Frankie, also joined the cast.
When camp starts, everyone is excited to see each other. A new camp, called Camp Star, has opened across the lake. The new camp steals some of the Camp Rock counselors by offering them twice as much money. With less staff, Camp Rock will be forced to close. Demi Lovato's character, Mitchie, doesn't want to see that happen. She takes charge and recruits new camp counselors.
Camp Rock is going to compete against Camp Star on Hitz TV. Although the Camp Rock campers want to have some good old fashioned fun, Mitchie keeps putting pressure on them to practice. Shane, played by Joe Jonas, is disappointed. He planned on spending the summer getting to know Mitchie better, but she doesn't have any spare time for him.
During their televised final jam performances, Camp Star puts on a professional looking show featuring impressive singers Luke and Tess. Camp Rock's show isn't as flashy, but utilizes everyone. It is obvious that the Camp Rock campers have bonded and enjoyed their camping experience.
Camp Rock is disappointed when it is announced that Camp Star won the competition. But, all is not lost. After seeing the Camp Rock performance, many people want to attend the camp next summer. Mitchie and all of the other campers hard work has paid off. They saved Camp Rock.
In St. Paul, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam will be replayed September 4, 2010 and September 5, 2010 at 7:00 p,m. on the Disney Channel.
