On the Cake Boss episode that originally aired August 16, 2010, Buddy Valastro and his Carlo's Bakery staff made the biggest cake they've ever produced. It was for National Train Day. The boards they were given to build the cake on were too big to fit in the delivery truck. They decided to take two delivery trucks and the supplies they needed to assemble the cake at New York's Penn Station. When they unveiled the cake, it looked like a city with a train running through it.

During that episode, they also made a cake for a retiring fire captain. It was decorated with an axe. a water hose, and a detailed fireman's helmet. They delivered the cake to the firehouse accompanied by a bagpipe. When the fire captain was presented with an axe to honor his years of service, he used it to cut the cake.

On the Cake Boss episode that originally aired August 23, 2010, they made a Frank Sinatra cake and a Haagen Dazs cake.

The Frank Sinatra cake was a silhouette made out of Rice Krispies Treats and covered with black fondant. When Buddy delivered it to the Broadway Show, Come Fly Away, he met Frank Sinatra's granddaughter. Frank Sinatra was from Hoboken, New Jersey which is where Carlo's Bakery is located.

The Haagen Dazs cake was made for the company's 50th anniversary. The vanilla, coffee, and strawberry cakes were assembled to look like stacked Haagen Dazs ice cream cartons. They also added realistic looking ice cream cones, ice cream bars, and coffee beans made out of frosting and fondant.

In St. Paul, new episodes of Cake Boss can be seen Mondays at 8:00 p.m. on TLC.
