What's better than making a guest appearance on a super popular reality show like 'The Biggest Loser'? That would be winning an Olympic medal of course!

J.R. Celski, who made a special guest appearance on last week's episode of 'The Biggest Loser,' made a huge name for himself last night when he won the bronze medal in the men's short track 1500m speed skate. While Celski's popularity certainly takes a backseat to America's most well-known short track speed skater, Apollo Anton Ohno (Ohno won the silver behind ), Celski (19) has overcome tremendous adversity to get to the podium.

Back in September at the Olympic Trials, Celski crashed, leaving him with a huge gash in his leg that went all the way to the bone after the tip of his skate got lodged in his leg. The road to recovery has not been an easy one for Celski, but was undoubtedly worth it after fulfilling a lifelong dream of winning an Olympic medal.

Now, with his first race under his belt, and a medal to boot, Celski can focus on the rest of the Olympics and his other events, the short track 1000m and relay, where he will be able to channel his new-found confidence in the Olympic arena. "I couldn't be in a better place right now," Celski told the New York Times. "I'm more confident. I got the jitters out a little bit."

If watching all of the skating has made wish you could lace up a pair of ice skates amidst this warm spring weather in Arizona, head on over to the Alltell Ice Den at 9375 East Bell Road in Scottsdale for some public skating, ice hockey or lessons.
