American Idol 2012 traveled to Houston for this week's auditions, and Thursday night's show got off to an interesting start. Many fans of the show embrace horrible auditions, and they must have been in heaven as this episode (airing on channel 10) began. Viewers had a feeling about Phong Vu from the moment he started talking, and unfortunately they were right. This one lands in the horrible pile, but fans will surely remember it.
Phong Vu performed “Unbreak My Heart” for the judges, and you can watch his audition in the video on the left-hand side of the page. He's enthusiastic and passionate, you've got to give him that, but he cannot sing. He's not much of an actor either, truth be told, but he sure seemed to have fun. Viewers won't be seeing Phong Vu on American Idol 2012 in Hollywood this year, or any year for that matter.
Do you love or hate the crazy auditions like Vu's? There are more auditions to come before the contestants are whittled down to the Top 24 for this season, and there will probably be a few more like Phong's before the show moves on to the next round.
