See you tonight!

5:45PM  Not much longer folks!  What will the "big announcement" be?

7:34 Not much longer now, folks!

7:56  Almost time, are you ready?

8:00 Ooh, starting off good w/ that outfit Cat!  Wife Gail says "It's a young look for her, but it looks good"

8:05 C'mon down Cat!  Awww, Mia is softening on Brandon!

Couple: Janette and  Brandon Style:  Cha-Cha  Choreographed:  Jean-Marc Genereux  Music:  Hush Husl Hush Hush by The P*ssy Cat Dolls

Brandon, thinks he's beautiful, eh?  But overall these two have done quite well in the competition.  Sexy time!  This could be hot!  France had a lot to say, she's normally so quiet.  Yeah, Janette has some anger in her, especially after being dumped right before the top 20.  Huh, looked like they were going to do something and then stopped.  Sexy outfits, but overall, it didn't do much for me.  Gail didn't like them mouthing words to the song.  Wow, Nigel loves it.  Big change from last week where he really ripped the first couple. Wow, tickets on the Hot Tamale Train?  Mia delivers the long awaited compliment to Brandon: "Amazing."  Also, Mia loves Janette.  They are all tripping over this performance.  Gail loved it, I liked it.  You can't argue with that, I'm the odd man out.  The love fest begins early tonight.  No call from me, but maybe Gail?

Couple:  Kayla and Kupono Style:  Contemporary  Choreographed:  Sonya Tayeh  Music:  Eyes on Fire by Blue Foundation

Okay, next up:  the teacher's pet Kayla and Kupono who has become a lot more likeable since Vegas (to me).  Kupono, pushing his questionable fashion sense.    Wow, life and death?  Let's see how they do!  Gail doesn't like the music or the outfits.  I'm okay with the music, I'm w/ Gail on the outfits.  Sonya does certainly have a unqiue style.  How did they do judges?  Nigel brings up all these vampire themes.  Wow, Kupono is a "new man!"  So many good things, says Nigel.  Absolutely tremendous he says.  The pair compliments each other.  Mary says the duo are "alive and kicking!"    Lots of compliments here.  Mia loves the asthetics of the pair "stunning couple" and Mia loves costumes and makeup!  Wow, best Sonya routing yet?  Kayla's lines are "ridiculous"  Kupono "every single week you keep getting better!"  Gail says "they did nothing wrong, I just didn't like it."  I couldn't get into the story and so I'm going to have to say, no phone call!

Couple:  Randi and Evan Style:  Broadway  Choreographed:  Joey Dowling  Music:  Sweet Charity by Rich Man's Frug

Gack...Randi and Evan.  I really don't like these two and I can't tell you why.  Evan and his brother annoyed me and that is part of it, I'm sure.  I just can't see either of these two winning it all.  Some people complained about last week's "butt centric" routine.  I didn't have any issues with the routine, but it just wasn't my favorite Mia Michael number.  Wow, Joey is an Amazonian handful, OMG!  This kind of teacher would drive me nuts, I'd never learn anything.  Gail LOVES the outfits.  I think they are good.  Gail likes the lighting, props and effects.  Gail thinks it sounds like a gameshow them song compilation.  Gail thinks this has been the best night since the top 20!  My favorite Randi and Evan number.  Nigel is dinging Evan, he should "bring a bit more to the party."  But they are still in the top 10 for Nigel.  Mary says, "I thought you did it fairly well."  She isn't screaming, though, is she.  "I enjoyed it, it was entertaining" is how Mary signs off.  Mia is being a bit critical, not quite there for her.  Mia says "Your movement was a little heavy and Evan I expect more from you."  No bravo from Mia, just  "Good job."  Sorry kids, even though it was better for me, no call.

Couple:  Jason and Caitlin Style:  Pop-Jazz Choreographed:  Brian Friedman  Music:  Creator by Santogold

Awww, Cat is such a cutie!  Here's my couple!  How will they do? Let's hope it's not another a bottom three for them!  Aliens?  Wow, okay.  Caitlin has to be dominant, daddy likes!  Will it scare way voters?  Gail says, "wow, it's so different!  I don't hate it, but it's not my thing."  Personally, I don't like the costumes.  Oh no!  I just didn't like this one and I think this might be trouble.  Nigel says "You both were able to commit to the idea.  Wow, a dancing condom...with spikes!!!"   Mary didn't play to their strengths, "It just doesn't sit right with me.  I hope you won't be in trouble."  Mia says kind of disses Brian a bit, I think, with the he didn't was to make a great piece, just a fun piece.  I AM VERY SAD.  I can't vote for this.  Gail feels that she must, because she likes the couple.  I'm sorry Caitlin, this is it for me.

Couple:  Jeanine and Phillip Style:  Hip Hop Choreographed:  Tabitha and Napoleon Music:  Love Lockdown by Kanye West

Phil and Jeanine...Seem to have a lot of crowd support.  Tabitha and Napoleon, can they top last week's group number?  I like the outfits, Gail says "They are very street."  Certainly fate has been kind to the couple with a hip hop routine.  The chain was an interesting prop.  Gail and I both liked it.  Nigel thought it was tremendous "They should be chained together for life."  Overall big props.  Mary says "You guys really brought it on.  Jeanine you are crazy good tonight.  You take my breath away."  Mia loves Tabitha and Napoleon, but she got caught up in the chainography.  The chain can get unpredictable and sloppy, but she loves the pair.  Wow, Jeanine has chains in the apartment!  Nice.  Okay, it was a good routine.  I won't be calling and Gail has already commited to call for Jason and Caitlin.

Couple:  Melissa and Ade Style: Pas De Deux Choreographed:  Thordal Christensen  Music:  Prokofieve's Suite from Romeo and Juliet

Always a dream for Melissa to play Juliet.  Should play to her strengths with the point shoes.  Melissa is a great actress, she really plays the part.  She just looks lovely out there.  Noticing some foot issues with Ade, not a big deal, bit it was distracting me a bit.  Overall, Gail says it was beautiful and I have to agree.  Nigel says "Beautifully danced, but his carriage was beautiful."  Nigel is crowing about his show, "What other television program gives you this variety."  Mary "Just loved it. It was really beautiful. Melissa your point work was phenominal."  Mia loves that classical ballet was brought to the show and thought it was brilliant.  Gail, "I think it was fabulous, but I think they are safe, so my vote is for Caitlin."  I am close to giving this couple my vote, let's see how Karla and Vitolio do.

Okay...here's the "big announcement!"  The Dizzy Feet Foundation, with goals to let kids experience dance and music.  It will award talented, under priv. students scholarships so they can continue studies.  So, no big MJ tribute announcment folks.  Good cause though, because let's face it, dance gets cut before almost all other programs!!!

July 23rd will be the 100th episode.  Tyce will choreograph a Judy Garland tribute with Katie Holmes

Couple:  Karla and Vitolio Style:  Quickstep Choreographed:  Jean-Marc Genereux  Music: Puttin' on The Ritz by Rufus Wainwright

Gosh Jean-Marc seems like such a great teacher.  Here we go!  I LOVE Karla's outfit gag!!!!  Wow, what a challenging dance and to be honest I normally don't like it, but this is fun!  I can't totally buy into Karla's emotion, she looks like she has a bit of a chapped lip smile tonight.  I think she preferred Jonathan, she looks uncomfortable around Vitolio.  Nigel says it was "really entertaining.  lines were really good.  would have liked to see more bounce in the Charleston."  Mary thought they brought the whole thing to life.  Mia thinks Jean-Marc is a genius, "He made you!"  Overall Mia liked it.  I thought it was fun, but I can't buy the chemistry at all.  Sorry.

Okay, overall a strong night.  Best since the top 20.  Melissa and Ade get my call, Caitlin and Jason get Gail's pity vote.

Here's how we see the voting for tomorrow's show (not necc the worst performances, just how we see it shaking down):

Gail:  Randi and Evan, Caitlin and Jason and Karla and Vitolio

My bottom three:  Kayla and Kupono, Caitlin and Jason and Karla and Vitolio

Thanks to everybody who dropped by.  I know that the site can take some time to refresh and I thank you for your patience.

Good night and we'll see you here tomorrow!
