Aisha Tyler, the Dartmouth grad who cavorted with both Ross and Joey on Friends before raising basic-cable awareness of female genital mutilation on Nip/Tuck, may be returning to her show-biz roots.
Since February Tyler's been in talks with ABC to host her own afternoon talk show. The network's allegedly signed off on a pilot episode.
Tyler, who started in comedy and did a stand-up special for Comedy Central last February, previously hosted lighter fare like Talk Soup and The Fifth Wheel. For ABC she'd be blending comedy and politics Daily Show-style.
Tyler, 39, is married to Los Angeles lawyer Jeff Tietjens.
