An Oregonian will be featured in the cast of NBC's reality program "Biggest Loser" for its upcoming tenth season. Tina Elliott , a retired homemaker from Boring, Oregon, was chosen for the cast last May when the show made a stop in Portland to shoot scenes for the season. In March, a casting call was held at the Oregon Convention Center, with fifteen people advancing. The trip to Portland in May was one of the shows stops on a tour of the country to announce the new season's contestants. Trainer Bob Harper came out to do a workout with the people who had showed up in downtown Portland on the day of the session. Elliott was one of the contestants that was announced to be joining the tenth season.
There are twenty one contestants this time, the most the show has had for a fall season, and they will be competing for a grand prize of $250,000. The trainers will not only help the contestants, but will help various communities as well. The workout in Portland will be featured on the first episode of the show. Season ten starts on September 21 at 8PM on NBC (Portland KGW 8).
