She's Got the Look : 72 year old supermodel

TV Land’s “She’s Got the Look” premieres its second season tonight. The show is a cross between Tyra Bank’s “America’s Next Top Model” (with international spin-offs) and Bravo's “Make Me a Supermodel” with a strange twist: participants must be at least thirty-five years old in order to compete! So like most model shows that restrict the age limit, is there a cut off age? It doesn’t appear to be so, because tonight the oldest contestant to audition for the show will be: seventy-two years old! That’s right people seventy-two years old and she’s a grandmother. With modeling being a youth obsessed industry is there a chance for these women to actually have a fruitful career or is this just another reality series that exploits not only its participants but the audience with heavy product placement and lengthy commercial breaks?

Well only time will tell, but if selected this grandmother of eight will be competing with nineteen other thirty-five years or older women for a hundred thousand dollar modeling contract with Wilhemina Modeling Agency and a photo shoot for Self magazine.
