Fresh from Comic-Con, information and clips indicating a post-Hydrogen bomb alternate timeline in "Lost"'s final season. Did Jack's plan work?
Adding a twist to what seems like a straightforward hint is the possibility that the final season may have a new narrative-twisting element, such as the previously used "flash forwards" and time-travel gimmicks.
THR: The show will also employ a new narrative device that’s unique to the final season. "The time travel season is over, the flash forward season is over,” Lindelof said. “We're going to do something different."
Perhaps the final season will showcase more than one timeline? One in which the castaways have not crashed on the island and lead different lives, where things like this happened:

Clearly, some thought has been given to a version of reality in which the castaways avoided their island-fates and, perhaps, were able to extricate themselves from the burdens of their pasts, as evidenced by Hurley's newfound "good luck." THR: Yet fans shouldn’t think that any sort of narrative reboot will invalidate everything that’s already happened, “because that would be a real big cheat,” said Jorge Garcia, who plays Hugo on the show.
“Just trust us,” reassured Cuse.
