Tom Bergeron, host of Dancing With the Stars, stopped by the offices of ABC on Friday and got his first look at the new cast for season eleven. After carefully reviewing the finalized list of celebrities who will compete for the coveted mirror ball trophy, Bergeron sent out the following tweet, “This is gonna be fun!”
The new cast of Dancing With the Stars will be officially announced tomorrow night during Bachelor Pad, which airs at 10 p.m. ET on ABC. Good Morning America will announce the celebrity and pro pairings on Wednesday morning. ABC has already revealed that twelve celebrities will dance for their lives this season, and the rumors about the new cast continue to swirl. Bristol Palin, singer Michael Bolton, ex NBA player Rick Fox, “The Situation” from Jersey Shore, David Hasselhoff, Audrina Partridge from The Hills, singer Brandy and Florence Henderson from The Brady Bunch are still being reported as “leaks” for the new season. However, as in years past, there are always a few surprises when it comes to the official cast announcement. Concerning the rumors, judge Carrie Ann Inaba summed it up best when she said on Twitter, “The DWTS rumors are off the charts!"
So far, here’s the known status of the Dancing With the Stars professional dancers. Jonathan Roberts, Dmitry Chaplin, Damian Whitewood and Ashley Costa are not returning for season eleven. Lacey Schwimmer has confirmed that she is dancing this season. There’s been no official word, but lots of hints that the following pros will return for the upcoming season: Tony Dovolani, Maksim Chrmerkovskiy, Louis Van Amstel, Kym Johnson and Karina Smirnoff.
