'The Amazing Race' finale recap: the Force is with one team

Fans of "The Amazing Race," this is the moment you all have been waiting for. We are down to the three final teams -- models Brent & Caite, squabbling "brothers who said the word 'bro' to each other too much" Dan & Jordan, and fun-loving cowboys Jet & Cord -- and one of them will win a million dollars by the end of this recap. Who will it be? If you're reading this...well, you probably already know.

Our resident former Miss Teen South Carolina (who has spent the majority of the season trying to get people to forget she was Miss Teen South Carolina), finished the last leg in first place, so they understandably received the first clue -- head to San Francisco, their "final destination" city, and then find Battery Godfrey. The models quickly realized that a "grand equalizer" was on the way, meaning that all the teams would be caught up and on the same flight.

Then, we had a switcheroo of luggage! Jordan decided that he wanted to cut in front of the cowboys in line by setting his bag down. The cowboys are making a big mistake here in thinking people care about honor and integrity, and it may have cost them the race.

Dan & Jordan managed to sneak up to first class (which is apparently allowed as long as you don't buy the tickets), which got them off the plane first, followed by the models and the cowboys. They then got the next clue, which said to look over a puzzle to figure out that they were supposed to head up to Coit Tower. Through the power of "ask someone," they quickly found out that Coit Tower was their next destination. Jet & Cord (who passed the models with their cab driver's help), actually bought a book that had Coit Tower in it.

Brent & Caite were upset about the cab driver, so they decided to take it out by coming across as two of the most unlikable people of all time. Brent was screaming at his girlfriend, and Caite was cursing at the driver. Somehow, Caite managed to make her image worse at times on this show than before the infamous Youtube video.

At the Tower, the brothers quickly found out the Roadblock involved one person climbing up the entire tower and grabbing a clue at the top. (Of course, Jordan yelled "bro" up at him!) While Dan was almost at the top, the cowboys arrived to do their part.

As Dan & Jordan completed it, they soon found out that they were heading to the Yoda fountain in front of LucasFilm. With that in mind, this is the most awesome leg of all time. There were stormtroopers and Darth Vader out front, and the task involved literally directing one person through virtual reality. The task was pretty cool, mainly because we've seen absolutely nothing like it before on TV. Jordan somehow managed to get all wigged out during the challenge, and the Cowboys (who just arrived) decided to play with them by yelling random directions. Talk about revenge! (Meanwhile, the models just arrived to Coit Tower.)

Through spinning around, Jordan managed to help his brother out with the clue -- but then, the cowboys had a chance to really get them back for the airplane fiasco in that they could push Jordan out of the way. Would he do it? No, and I am disappointed yet again that the 'boys couldn't get the gusto to make a fierce move. This led the brothers to finish first, and were then told to head off to the Tonga Room to grab their next clue.

Unfortunately, Jet & Cord couldn't figure out the clue for the life of them, and it gave the models a little bit of a chance to catch up them. The brothers then hauled it to the Tonga, where they quickly grabbed a chest to take to the Great American Music Hall. Unfortunately, things went south from there as the cowboys gained a little bit of ground.

It didn't look like it was going to be enough. Dan & Jordan (who are bringing with them a decent knowledge of the show) knew that there was a memory challenge every season, and then they found out that Candlestick Park was the final destination. This leg really played up to their strengths, even though the show tried to create some sort of drama by acting like the cowboys were close.

So are Dan & Jordan good winners? Not really -- as a matter of fact, they are probably one of my least favorites simply because they were either angry at each other or way too excited. Sometimes, you need balance!

The only real solace came in the epic confrontation between the models and Carol & Brandy, who apparently decided that fighting was more important than the happy goodbye.
