"Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" won't premiere on CBS until February 11, but as with every season you can expect a profile of each contestant here leading up to the 20th edition of the popular reality competition.
Today, the focus is on Danielle DiLorenzo.
Name: Danielle DiLorenzo
Age: 26
Occupation: Medical sales
Location: Los Angeles, California
Past seasons: "Survivor: Panama: Exile Island"
Tribe: Villains
Claim to fame: Does Danielle really have a claim to fame? As I will say numerous times during this article, Danielle is a good player and none of this is meant to come as disrespect. I just don't think she was particularly memorable. The biggest thing she did in her season was defeat Terry and finish second behind Aras; she also had to deal with Shane.
Is she an All-Star? In no way should Danielle be on the season, merely because she doesn't bring any "wow" factor. Even Jeff Probst famously admitted at one time that casting Danielle was "a mistake" the first time around, and I'm pretty sure she's in that 20% he recently said were on this show that he wouldn't have put on his own list. She worked hard to get second place, but a spot on her tribe could have gone to someone like Twila from "Vanuatu."
Analysis: Outside of being entertaining for people at home, Danielle really has a lot of great skills for the "Survivor" game. She's physically strong, manipulative, and willing to throw people under the bus. She is a bona fide villain, but her big weakness this time is going to be laying low on a tribe with both Russell and Boston Rob on it. If she can convince them that she is "under their control," then she can probably stick around long enough to stab them later.
Prediction: Usually the winner of the "All-Star" season is someone you don't expect; even with this in mind, though, I don't think Danielle will win. She will probably do a pretty good job early on at laying low and making good moves, but I'm betting she is dismissed before the jury since she is both a physical and mental threat to hang around.
