Two days following the 2010 Oscars, filmmaker Roger Ross Williams got the interrupted to do what he missed out on at the Kodak Theater: give a full speech without interruption. Larry King brought Williams -- whose documentary short "Music By Prudence" won an award on Sunday -- on his show after producer Elinor Burkett went on stage and did her best impression of Kanye West.

On "Larry King Live" Williams first denied that his mother tried to keep Burkett from going on stage:

"My mother got up to hug me. My mother is 87 years old and has bad knees. She just got excited like any mother would."

He had previously told Salon.com about the incident following the Oscars themselves:

"The academy is very clear that only one person can speak...I own the film. She has no claim whatsoever. She has nothing to do with the movie. She just ambushed me. I was sort of in shock."

Burkett reportedly detached herself from the project a year ago, but still kept her name on as a producer.

Are your happy that Roger Ross Williams got a second chance at his Oscar speech? Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more news.
