Kym Johnson and six pros are out, two in on 'Dancing With the Stars'

“Dancing With the Stars” announced the new cast of stars and their professional dance partners, and seven familiar pros from season nine will not return for season ten, including Kym Johnson who trained Donny Osmond during his winning season last fall. In addition, one professional dancer returns, and a rookie is introduced for season ten.

The seven pros not returning for season ten (including their “star” partners from season nine) are:

1. Kym Johnson (Donny Osmond)
2. Dmitry Chaplin (singer Mya)
3. Alec Mazo (Olympian Natalie Coughlin)
4. Karina Smirnoff (singer Aaron Carter)
5. Anna Demidova (football player Michael Irvin)
6. Jonathan Roberts (singer Macy Gray)
7. Lacey Schwimmer (chef Marc Dacascos)

Kym Johnson recently sent out the following message on Twitter to her fans:

“I’m taking a break this season to pursue some other interests. Wishing all my dancing friends the best of luck on the big season 10! I had the best time last season with Donny winning the Mirror Ball and fulfilling a dream! Thank you all for helping make that happen.”

Season ten of “Dancing With the Stars” will include two new pros: Ashley DelGrosso Costa and Damian Whitewood. Ashly DelGrosso, is a professional dancer from Highland, Utah who starred on the “Dancing with the Stars” for the first three seasons. On season one, she and Joey McIntyre finished in third place. Master P and Ashley finished in seventh place during season two. She came in ninth place with Harry Hamlin on season three. Damian Whitewood recently appeared in the Broadway production, “Burn the Floor.” According to ABC.com, Whitewood is from Australia and began dancing at the tender age of 10. He has several ballroom and Latin dancing championships under his belt, and was a semi-finalist at the prestigious Blackpool International Championships.

• Astronaut Buzz Aldrin and Ashley Costa (formerly Ashly DelGrosso)
• Actress Pamela Anderson and newcomer Damian Whitewood
• ESPN’s Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskly
• Actress Shannen Doherty and Mark Ballas
• Reality TV mom Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovolani
• Olympic figure skater Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya
• Actress/comedienne Niecy Nash and Louis Van Amstel
• Wide receiver Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke
• “The Bachelor” Jake Pavelka and Chelsie Hightower
• Pussycat singer Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough
• Soap star Aiden Turner and Edyta Sliwinska
