Reality TV star Heidi Montag-Pratt has been rushed to a Costa Rican hospital with what a representative described as a 'stomach ulcer.'
Heidi and husband Spencer Pratt are in Costa Rica to participate in the NBC reality series "I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!" The couple have been working to rejoin the cast of the show after quitting for a third time earlier this week.
As part of the attempted return, the duo was forced to spend a day in night in isolation in an enclosed space filled with insects and other unpleasant things.
While the complete story is still unclear, sources are reporting that either during or after the isolation, Heidi Pratt began having serious stomach issues and developed hysteria to the point where she had to be transferred to a local hospital.
Husband Spencer reportedly traveled to the hospital with his wife, and her condition was described by an NBC source as "not serious."
Heidi's sister Stephanie broke the news of the hospitalization on her Twitter feed, tweeting that "Im really saddened to hear that nbc felt it was ok to punish speidi so harshly-and torture them as if they were criminals-that Heidi was Rushed to the hospital and has an IV in her arm after being locked in a dark room for 3 days w no food or water. Pls pray she will be ok. Her family is flying out to see her in the hospital. I know they pulled some shitty antics-but really nbc?? Too far."
No other details have been made available, and NBC has so far been unavailable for comment.

Aww, the poor baby. The she didn't belong on that show. She is a girlie girl and they don't like bugs and stuff. In fact, the both of them did the team a favor and quit! They should have never been allowed back. Help me remember? Just what did either of them do to help there team mates.
They quit and came back? The just wanted more time in the spotlight. I wish it was Spencer, not Heidi. The guy is an ass.
They both should be tortured.We have to be tortured by seeing them all over.They haven't done one thing that makes them a star in anyway.I will be so glad when they are both gone.
I'm smelling a bit of a scripted controversy. How much does anyone want to bet that this "torture" is all a ploy to get more publicity so people will watch the show?
They spent one nite in the room. Her sister tries to state it was 3 days without food or water? Give me a break. Her family is just as stupid as she and Spencer are.
That has been the dumbest show so far (I am dumber if I keep watching!) they just wander around in that one small area and lay around in a hammock with no makeup and greasy hair. It is stupid. Oh,yes and eat a bug every now and then. UGH
