Groundhog Day, Punxsutawney Phil has seen his shadow

It is official, the legendary groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his simulated tree stump in Pennsylvania and indeed saw his shadow, thus six more weeks of bad weather.

Records indicate that Punxsutawney Phil has been predicting the weather since 1887 and according to the groundhogs handlers, who call themselves the 'Inner Circle', Punxsutawney Phil's weather predictions are 100% accurate.

Punxsutawney Phil has made 113 weather predictions for the entire United States thus far and according to the StormFax Weather Almanac, the groundhog has only been accurate 39% of the time. 

Having learned from the infamous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, that we will experience six more weeks of winter, let us learn a little more about the groundhog himself.
