'Dancing With the Stars:' Erin Andrews wants strong sentence for stalker

"Dancing With the Stars" contestant (and ESPN broadcaster) Erin Andrews is making one thing very clear -- she wants Michael David Barrett to receive a heavy sentence after he uploaded a nude video of her without her consent.

The video -- which depicts Andrews in her hotel room -- was a clear invasion of privacy and led to a charge of interstate stalking. However, TMZ is reporting that Barrett hopes to only get off with probation for his crime.

Suffice it to say that Andrews isn't too happy with the idea: "He is seeking the mercy of the court. He did not show me or any of the other victims any mercy." Her attorney added the following statement:

"I think it would be a travesty of justice for this man to walk free. It would be a license for others to engage in similar predatory activity...It would send a terrible message to the other 16 women known to be victimized by him in the same manner."

Andrews will be in court on Monday to share her thoughts with the judge -- after that, it will probably be right back to "Dancing" rehearsals with her partner Maksim Schmerkovsky.

Do you think Barrett deserves a heavy prison sentence for his actions? Feel free to share your thoughts below and stay tuned for more of the latest news.

I'd have a lot of sympathy if this happened to anybody else. But Erin Andrews is one of those female sports reporters who insist on the right to walk into men's locker rooms while they're undressed. Now she got a taste of her own medicine and she thinks the perpetrator belongs in jail. It really serves her right.
