We can add Simon Monjack to this list of people shocked over the death of former teen idol Corey Haim. However, he doesn't think it is fair to compare Haim's situation to that involving his late wife, movie star and TV voice actor Brittany Murphy.
In an interview with Radar Online, Monjack had this to say about the comparison between the two:
“These reports saying Brittany and Corey’s death are the same are ridiculous. If you are going to draw a comparison, do it about their art; about how brilliant they were in their craft...Brittany knew and respected Corey as an actor immensely. 'The Lost Boys' was one of her favorite films.”
Both Haim and Murphy did pass away under mysterious circumstances, but some of the early evidence from Haim's autopsy suggests that an enlarged heart along with pulmonary congestion played a possible role in his death on Wednesday.

I don't see any similiarity at all, Brittany Murphy didn't die from a drug overdose. And the facts are not totally in from the Corey Haim case, so with that said don't think that they have anything in common whatsoever!
The only thing their death has in common, is they were both actors, both died suddenly, and both way too young to be gone. People that jump to all these conclusions just have nothing better to do. Let them rest in peace. People don't realize how comments hurt and upset the families in an already difficult time. My thoughts and prayers go out to both families. I for one am not jumping to any conclusion. I'm curious as to what happen just like the others, but I just will wait til the report is released. Rest peacefully Corey.
Their first names both end with a " Y ".
The only thing that I can think of is hearing that they both had flu-like symptoms before they both passed. Other than that, I don't think we can compare.
the only thing that they have in common is that they are sorely missed. Both left a huge impression in this world and they are both gone.
