Could Fox be getting ready to set up Conan O'Brien for a new show? According to a new report by TMZ, Fox executives are "seriously talking" with the former "Tonight Show" host's people about getting Coco on board for a program airing between 11:00 p.m. and midnight starting this fall.
The only problem with this decision? Executives still have to convince affiliates that this is the correct move. Many Fox stations air syndicated programming -- such as reruns of "Seinfeld" or "Friends" -- following the local news at 10:00. These shows pull in decent enough ratings from casual viewers, and they bring in potentially more revenue than a Conan O'Brien show would.
Therefore, Fox still needs to find a way to sweeten the deal and convince local stations that this is definitely a risk worth taking. They can push back their syndicated shows for an hour, and instead give viewers something fresh and entertaining to watch. Conan at 11:00 would give him a 35-minute lead on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" and "The Late Show With David Letterman," meaning that he could take away some viewers from both programs who want their late-night comedy to start a little earlier.
What do you think: should local Fox stations jump at this move? Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more of the latest TV news.

I hope he moves to Fox, it would be brilliant!
This is the best time to take the risk... Set it up so his star guest is on at 11:30 to keep some viewers for when Leno and Dave start
Although I am more a Leno fan then Conan, I think it would be a good move for Fox. Conan is established and I rather be watching him then a nobody at the Fox "desk" who gave the lowest salary bid. Not only is this a good time slot, but I can get my American Idol, Fox News and Bad Girls Club (sorry, Fox) "fill" without having to compromise or hit the record button. Plus its an easy time to remember. I can't tell you how many tonight shows i've missed from the odd time slot.11:35 is just weird to me. That's my 2 cents on the matter.
