Cheryl Burke from “Dancing With the Stars” appeared on "Good Morning America” to talk about photos in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, and the new season of DWTS.
Four former couples from “Dancing With the Stars” are featured in the new Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. Cheryl Burke appears with Maurice Greene, Anna Trebunskaya with Chuck Liddell, Chelsie Hightower with Ty Murray and Edyta Sliwinska with Lawrence Taylor. All of the dancers are wearing bikinis in the artful shots that highlight the marriage of dance and athleticism. It is the first time anyone from “Dancing With the Stars” has appeared in the magazine. Cheryl Burke called it “an amazing experience,” and said that everyone had fun during the photo shoot. She also described the experience as a little awkward because she was clad in a “tiny bikini” while trying to show off dance moves. All of the “Dancing With the Stars” teams will celebrate their appearance in Sports Illustrated at a launch party in Las Vegas.
Cheryl Burke also talked about the upcoming season of “Dancing With the Stars,” and said that the dancers will find out next week if they will return for the new season. Because the number of couples has been whittled from 16 to 12 this season, four pros from last season will not return. In addition to learning their own fates, the dancers will also find out who their partners are next week. Rehearsals and training are scheduled to begin at the end of February. The new season of "Dancing With the Stars" premieres on Monday, March 22nd at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
