Charlie Sheen to claim Brooke Mueller assault 'never happened'

"Two and a Half Men" star Charlie Sheen has apparently come up with a plan of action for his domestic assault case -- pretend that the entire incident with Brooke Mueller never happened. A source close to the case had this to say to Radar Online about the plan:

“Charlie is going to contend that everything Brooke told police isn’t true – that she was out of her head, that she was so messed up she didn’t know what was going on.

“She partied hard before the incident. She drank heavily and she smoked crack. And Charlie is fully prepared to use that as part of his defense. Considering the fact that she went into rehab after the incident, Charlie’s argument is going to have a lot of weight.”

This defense is undoubtedly going to infuriate a number of women's rights supporters out there, but Sheen seems to realize that unless Mueller cooperates with the prosecution in the case the odds of a conviction are exceptionally low.

The prosecution in Pitkin County is planning to issue statements from some of Sheen's past girlfriends as evidence -- in particular the ones who claim that the actor exhibited violent behavior in the past. However, all that will necessarily prove is that Charlie has a history with domestic violence. At the end of the day, it really doesn't say much of anything about this particular incident with Mueller.

Do you think Charlie Sheen will be convicted with this plan of defense? Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more news leading up to the next planned court appearance on March 15.

    I hope he's not convicted. I'm on Charlie's side, and I believe he's innocent.
