'Big Brother 12' recap: sadness inside, competition outside

What will Hayden do?

First note from Wednesday's episode of "Big Brother 12" -- Enzo, take your hand out of your pants! This episode looked like it was going to be one of the more predictable ones of the season, since just about everyone in the known history of man expected Britney to walk out and chat with Julie Chen.

Veto domination

The Power of Veto challenge this week was a doozy, since it forced everyone to actually try and remember every detail from their time in the house. Each houseguest had to match up "movie posters" featuring two houseguests with each clue.

This may have been the most lop-sided competition in the history of the show, since Hayden dominated it and figured out the puzzle on his first try. Enzo gave it a good effort, but fell short. Britney had a poor strategy, and Lane looked like he was almost throwing it to keep from deciding between Britney and the Brigade.

The revelation

After this, we finally got some good action this week, even if it was completely heart-wrenching to watch. Lane, Enzo, and Hayden decided to tell Britney about the Brigade while they all sat around smiling. Did these guys not think she would be hurt that her entire game was a sham?

If Lane really wanted to keep Britney around, though, what he should have done was talk to Hayden and suggest keeping her getting rid of Enzo -- but apparently, that would cause him to stick his head out too much for his alliance partner.

One last goodbye

Hayden of course decided to not use the Veto on anyone, and that of course meant that Enzo (who had the only vote) was going to vote to get rid her.

After the vote (which was more lovey-dovey nonsense than some people could stomach), Britney actually left the house with a pretty positive feeling about the experience. She claimed to old no ill will towards the Brigade, especially when she found out that Lane actually did want to take her to the final two -- but it was all out of his hands at the end of the day.

Who holds the advantage?

The first part of the final Head of Household challenge began during the broadcast (check back here soon for the results), and it involved the Brigade all trying to hold on for dear life as they were smashed against walls -- which is basically what most of us have been doing this summer every time Enzo says the words "meow meow."

Who are you rooting for now?
