It's almost ironic in a way that Alex Lambert has become more famous than most of the contestants on "American Idol," despite being eliminated from the competition from the top 12. The musician has made a new home for himself on Simon Fuller's web series "If I Can Dream," and in an interview with People Magazine he admits to be loving just about every second of it.
Alex says both the experience and house are "pretty cool," even if he is still coping with the adjustment of being away from his family. Since joining the show he has spent time in songwriting sessions, performing for fans via Twitter requests, and getting to know the house's collection of aspiring artists. (One of them, Justin Gaston, is scheduled to perform with Brooke White on Wednesday night's "Idol" broadcast.)
What's next for Alex? It is still far too early to tell. If he can make the right connections in the "Dream" house and continue to make his name recognizable over the course of the next several weeks, we could see an album at some point in the future.

I think what's next for Alex is a record deal and a great album in the very near future! He is a super talented singer and songwriter and should have gone a lot farther in Idol. His voice is so distinct & unique. He is much better than the singers that are left. He's already had 2 songwriting sessions in the IICD house and they were so good. It seemed like the writers he was working with were impressed by him and one of them even told him she fell in love with his voice when she heard it! He's too talented to fade away into post Idol obscurity. I wish him the best and can't wait to buy his first album!
I love Alex Lambert's voice. He reminds me of a young Rob Thomas. Can't wait to hear his album.
I thought that Adam should have won over Kris Allen. He was the most consistent and probably the most original in all the seasons.I would have thought that someone would have signed him to a contract the night after the finale.
