Alex Lambert is now officially joining the ranks of Miley Cyrus' ex-boyfriend. The singer, who was controversially dropped from "American Idol" before the start of the top 12, has now been officially cast on web series "If I Can Dream." The show, which features aspiring artists living together in a house, is executive-produced by "Idol" guru Simon Fuller.
The other members of the "If I Can Dream House" are musician Justin Gaston (who used to date the "Hannah Montana" star), model Giglianne Braga, and actors Kara Killmer, Amanda Phillips, and Ben Elliott.
Alex Lambert really only has his fans to thank for getting him on the show. Following his elimination from the hit Fox reality show, a number of fans signed a petition in order to get him back in the competition. Since that obviously didn't happen, they quickly turned their attention to getting him on "Dream" instead.
Alex Lambert's stint in the house begins on April 1, and recap episodes will air every Monday night on Hulu.
