'American Idol': Adam Lambert shares more details about next album (video)

Adam Lambert may not be too in-depth on his next album yet, but that isn't stopping the "American Idol" singer from at least sharing what some of his thoughts would be for the "For Your Entertainment" follow-up. Speaking recently during his New England leg of the Glam Nation tour (in a video you can see below or at this link if it fails to load), Adam shared a few thoughts about what he would like to see.

First of all, he wants to write more than five songs (his count for his debut) on the new CD. He admits he tends to spend more time writing the lyrics than the music. Adam also said he tries not to over-think or over-analyze what he is doing when he think of an idea quickly -- sometimes, artists become concerned when they think up something fast because it may mean they have heard or seen it somewhere before and it is buried in their subconscious.

Outside of that, the interview contains some of what is largely the same sort of tour talk we've seen from Glam Nation so far. Nevertheless, it is always worthwhile to see and hear how Adam reacts to different audiences.

Is there anything specific you want Adam Lambert to do for his next album?

I didn't think I would like the pop songs on his album until I heard them--love them. I'm not so sure any longer that I want him doing a lot of rock and roll. I think Adam's vision for what works for him is the right choice. His Glam Nation Tour is a total show, songs, dancing, lights, costumes, everything that I would expect to see on Broadway, but way better because Adam Lambert is the star.

Agreed! Hard rock man! More acoustic. Less funky sounds that bury his amazing voice. Way more high notes too!
