Just when it looked like Adam Lambert was starting to soften up his image with new single "Whataya Want From Me," the "American Idol" runner-up decided to stir things up and be edgy again.
In a new interview with The Times discussing romance, Adam had plenty to say: "My heart craves [a relationship], but now is not the time for it. So in the meantime I'm gonna have fun. I love a torrid affair," Adam surely knows that his schedule is packed these days, and he only recently split with boyfriend Drake LaBry. (The two were even rumored to be back together at one point, but it turned out to not be the case.)
Lambert wasn't even afraid to talk about women: "I'm openly gay so they know I'm not going to have sex with a woman - although I like making out with girls from time to time...I have this curiosity at the back of my mind. I've never had sex with a woman and I'm a little bit curious about it." Is this cause for some women out there to be excited?
Adam's hold-nothing-back attitude has definitely brought him a number of fans, and these people will probably only further appreciate the singer's reluctance to conform to a mainstream audience.

The comments Adam has said is nothing we haven't heard before from him. He answers the interviewer's questions honestly. I guess honesty should be considered "edgey" seeing as how not many people are.

I see nothing wrong with Adam's comments. Sexual curiosity is natural, it's just that only few have the guts to talk about it. Adam's openness is refreshing. Your headline makes it sound like he said something inappropriate. People in this country need to take a chill pill and get over being so prudish.
No surprises here, if one has read his articles (Details) or seen any of a number of interviews. Adam wears his heart and his soul on his sleeve. We love that about him. He is one of the most genuine and "real" personalities in Hollywood today. I love that he has little or no filter. It is part of his charm and undoubtedly why so many adore him from both sexes, all ages and all persuasions.
For Pete's sake, leave him alone and stop trying to make a big deal out of every little comment he makes in an article.

Adam is always open and honest. We love this about him; however, I think it makes his fans feel that they can tell him what to do and how to do it. Other stars have more privacy and we don't really know their every move. I LOVE to see and hear about Adam everyday but truly believe we need to respect him and give him some privacy.
At this point every single word that comes from Adam's mouth is gonna stir controversy in the eyes of the media.

Why does Adam feel the need to say "I'm gay but I like making out with women" in almost every interview? Will he keep insisting on being bi-curious until he actually has sex with a women? What's the point of it? Maybe he should re-identify himself as bisexual and move on instead of heaping out the same old "I'm gay but.." statements over and over.
I think Adam's operative word is FUN. Adam IS fun, funny and likes to have fun with us and mess with our sexual psyches. Go Adam...enjoy what you're doing to us - we are! Loving you.
But what happened to taking a new direction and focusing on the music? Adam says he doesn't want it to be about his sexuality but his words and actions don't always prove this. He seems eager to talk candidly about it.
Oh Good Grief~~The media needs to not making something out of nothing! Adam is asked questions and he gives honest answers..the media needs to focus him as a performer first and not concern theirselves with his private life. Singers and actors dead or alive have been doing these things for years and it is no big deal...it is their business!
This isn't news. Adam said nearly the exact same thing (i.e. "I'm gay -- not bisexual -- but maybe a little bit bi-curious") in his Rolling Stone interview way back in July 2009.
Here's a big news flash! Adam is a big flirt and will do so at the drop of a hat with either sex. He's also a funny and honest guy who self-admittedly has no filter. You can't take everything he says seriously.
He speaks his truth. What we make of it says more about us than it does about him. Adam answers questions in interviews candidly. He speaks about his sexual preferences (and curiosities) when he's asked about them. He talks about his music when he's asked about it. Try watching a wide range of his interviews to get a better picture of the man. It is rewarding. He thinks before he answers, he's smart, he's kind, and he's very companionable. One interviewer said, "I didn't know what to think of you before, but now after talking to you, I really like you."
And? What are we having in this country - the American Inquisition? Are we scheduled to going back to burnings at the stake? Adam Lambert is an ADULT! And he is not a choir boy! I hope he has a marvelously 'torrid' affair! Go for it, Adam, you only live once! Life is too short for us all!

The reason Adam Lambert appears to be repeating himself is because the media keeps harping about the same ol' CRAP! Personally, I'd be ecstatic if I never heard the words gay/ openly gay, sex, AMA, ABC, simulated oral sex, bi-curious ever again in an interview with Adam. Why should he have to "conform?" I think that if he is actually gay, he needs to give it a rest because all the game-playing about his sexuality(if that is what it is) will only loses people's respect. He can either be an openly out and proud gay man and leave it at that or he can just say he's bi and leave it at that. He says he does not want his sexuality to be an issue, so there is no need for him to keep making people speculate about his sexuality.

My personal thought is that he may well be into women. As one person above pointed out, if he wants to be an opely gay, flaming queer man, it seems like he's got that community covered. My personal opinion is that he's protesting just a little bit too much, and that makes me wonder why. I suspect it could be more likely he's bi than 100% gay, and I could even see the small inner child somewhere in there desiring an old-fashioned straight relationship--perhaps with a strong, interesting woman? To be blunt about it, he seems a little lost to me. I adore a good glam adrogynous man outfit and performance, but he doesn't seem to just leave it at that. Women are often his backup dancers, and often do sexual things with him in the performances. I dunno. He's got something to "prove" about women, that's for sure! And what is that? Maybe just curiousity? My opinion is that he tries a little too hard to prove he can dominate everyone. I think there's something sort of psychological issue there.
