'America's Got Talent' recap: Clownvis and the male Charice

This episode of "America's Got Talent" wrapped up the auditions, and there was the mixture of decent talent with terrible things no one ever wants to see again.

Here's a look at the performances:

Jimmy Dinn: This guy was completely ridiculous. A Vietnamese comedian, this guy literally had about three jokes and that was it. He had the chops to be funny, but he just didn't have the material.

The Belly Dancing Duo: Let's face it -- Howie and Piers were ready to put these two through the moment they stepped on stage. It also helped them that the two of them were actually quite good at belly dancing.

Lindsay Stirling: A great violinist not afraid to push the envelope, and they were part of a montage that also included a group of pogo dancers and the Maniacs (who every Dallas Mavericks fan knows very well already since they perform at the home games).

Clownvis: This was equally funny and pathetic. Clownvis really didn't get much of a chance from the judges, but it was his reaction later that really sealed the deal. He insulted Sharon and Howie, which led to some obscenities.

There was then a bad montage featuring a number of failures, including a "floating dance act" that really didn't do much of anything.

Rick Smith, Jr.: The guy is an expert card thrower, and he was definitely worth watching (even though he scared Nick Cannon to death).

Phil Trau: As a 74-year old tap dancer, it was really amazing just to see the guy dance. He really wasn't as amazing as the judges made him out to be, but he will at least have a shot in Vegas.

Luigi Seno: What a surprise this guy was. It was looking like this guy was going to be another shy singer on this show, but he actually delivered a fun performance with serious hints of Adam Levine. He could be the male equivalent of Charice, another Filipino sensation.

Arthur Nakane: This guy was literally a one-man band who spends three hours setting up his act. Unfortunately, he wasn't worth watching for ten seconds. I guess the judges thought that that much set up required at least a complete listen-through.

Piers was completely wrong about Clownvis. Elvis Presley DID sing Old MacDonald. It was in the movie Double Trouble.

It all started when Clownvis was chided for singing Old MacDonald, but they didn't show the producers refusing to allow him to sing his normal Elvis cover or any Elvis cover. They show had sabotaged him before he even had a chance. Gotta love "Reality TV"
