The former American Idol finalist and singer Adam Lambert was the first entertainer as of late to be met with a group of protestors from a church group. Lady GaGa was then met with the same group, and now, it appears that teen singing sensation Justin Bieber may be facing the same group.
Last night Bieber performed in Kansas City, and the group from the Westboro Baptist church was there to protest. According to a new report, the group says of their issue with Bieber: He "has a platform given to him by God to speak to this world; he has a duty to teach obedience by his actions and words. He refuses to do that because he knows his concert halls would be empty! So, he teaches you to sin and rebel against God's commandments."
As of yet, Justin Bieber has not addressed the group of protestors. When Lambert was met with the group, he took to Twitter to address it, as did Lady GaGa who did so in great detail. In fact, she warned her fans not to be surprised by their presence.
While Justin Bieber is very popular among people of all ages, what he is not seen as is controversial. Are you surprised that this church group would target the singer in such a way?

No, I'm not surprised WBC targets Bieber. It's all about being in the spotlight, which I think they cherish more than any "religious" reason they come up with. Adam Lambert, Lady GaGa now Justin Bieber, singers with large followings to make sure they get some press. Sad, disgusting small-minded fanatic family that calls themselves a "church".
Give me a break. The only sin arising from Justin Bieber and his music I can think of would be if his fans started copying his haircut. Now, that offense surely would bring eternal damnation and a one-way ticket to hell.
It is so sad that anyone should have to endure the protests of hatred from a so called "church" group that should be exemplifying a God who does not hate! In the name of true Christianity, I hope Westboro members will begin to examine their own lives and let others live their lives in peace.

Give me some of what you're smoking. Since when does Bieber appeal to anyone of the age of 16? That's not meant as a knock again Bieber it's just a fact that he only appeals to a small age group.
I myself am a christian but i believe this group has gone to far! I love justin bieber I am such a big fan! He himself is a Christian!! They say that he is teaching rebellion and sin but all of his lyrics just talk about finding love!I honestly believe that God has no problem with Justin Biebers songs!!
I am 15 years old and I have grown up in a Christian home and from what I have read in the Bible there isnothing against writting love songs! Just read song of songs and you will see what I mean!! Don't worry Justin We support you!!
Religion is the root of all evil. People hate in the name of religion, wars are started in the name of religion and millions have died in the name of religion. People get all self important calling themselves "Christians" as if its something to be proud of.
I think they are committing the absolute ****sin**** of enjoying controversy and lying to themselves why they create chaos! I think they like their name in lights and even though they say it is to condemn sinners and sinner's advocates, it's really to bask in the spotlight. That's sick.

This group is a cult. They teach hate! They are not portraying a true representation of the teaching of Jesus Christ in the Bible! I am a very strong Christian. I love Adam Lambert and his music. Justin Bieber seems like a very sweet kid, though I don't listen to his music.
He addressed the protesters in on twitter by saying "God does not hate" which is so true,from the heart and honest. The pastor at WBC that is inciting all this hoopla and hate appears to be looking for fame and recognition. I wish he would spend a little more time reading the gospels, then he might recognize that Jesus never preached hate. Several ppl have tried to get their 15min of fame on Adam's coat tails and this is what the pastor and his group of angry men are doing.I think they need a little hell fire and brimstone up their arsses!!!sm
I an a huge Bieber fan! I dont understand how his music goes against god at all and I am Christian. I dont understand how any of his music teaches about rebellion and sin!

What gets me is that they claim they are Christians. Christians what? I have never seen a bunch of HATE MONGERS in my life. They are just like those radical islams over in the middle east who are killing in the name of allah.

They're a hate group - no different than the Klan, and just as with the Klan, they are in no way, shape, or form a Christian organization. As such, they are making a mockery of our government giving REAL religions a tax exempt status. How do we start a movement? Maybe a petition to get their tax exempt status rescinded?
As for them protesting Justin - just reading their reason proves they're grasping at straws - they'd include anyone who's popular in a reason like that. Sick, sick people. NOT Christians!

This church is embraced by the tea party and shares their retoric if u don't want to live in a republican theoracy be very careful who u vote for. run everything they say ,republican or democrat, through fact check because we could elect this type of group if we are not careful. Can we agree to stop using the term "Christian" when referring to these sick, despicable publicity-hounds? I'm no expert but I think the terms "cultists" or "lunatics" would be much more precise, and less insulting to actual Christians.

Sorry, but being protested is like getting a prize, because if crazy people disagree with you, then you must be doing something right. Except Bieber doesn't even deserve it, when has he defended any racial or social minority, Adam and Gaga have made huge strides for the gay community's integration into society. Gaga is a true role model, you may like Bieber, but let's face it, he kind of has done nothing for the state of the world.
