Actor Peter Graves, probably best known by many people as the star of "Mission: Impossible" during the 1960s and 70s, passed away on Sunday following a heart attack. The New York Times is reporting that Graves -- who also served as a past narrator for A&E's landmark "Biography" series -- died while at his home in Pacific Palisades. California.
Graves had been a part of show business for six decades, and his work encompassed everything from action to comedy to even drama. He was well-remembered by many fans as the pilot from "Airplane!" and he went on later in life to play a role in a Geico ad campaign. His brother, James Arness, was a popular actor on "Gunsmoke."
Early reports are that Graves was returning from brunch with his wife and children and then collapsed. CPR was attempted without success,
Feel free to share your thoughts below, and I have also included a small sampling of photos from the accomplished actor's long career.
