NBC premiered its new reality show competition "Minute to Win It" Sunday. The show features everyday people trying to win one million dollars by completing extraordinary tasks with ordinary household items. The show is hosted by Food Network star Guy Fieri.
The show's first contestant took home $50,000 Sunday night. Some of the tasks he had to complete were pulling all of the tissues out of a tissue box with one hand in one minute or less and snack 10 screw nuts one on top of another using only a chopstick in one minute or less.

The thing I really liked about this show was that it is ordinary people doing truly ordinary things, just don't them to the maximum. These are people who have been practicing these 10 games in their homes for months in anticipation of being chosen for a 30 minute spot on the live-audience set. You don't have to be smart or have a special talent to play this game. Every game makes you think, "I could probably do that."
So, is there anything to dislike about the show? Unfortunately, yes. The show is the same 10 games over and over and over again. Nothing will be changing week to week except for the contestants. I think this is more of a show they should be airing special episodes of a few times a season. For me, this isn't a show I would want to watch every week. Just like the excitement of shows like "Deal or No Deal" and "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" have worn off, I fear that might happen to this show eventually as well.
