American Idol' 9 recap: Crystal Bowersox stays in her own league after Top 11 performances

Crystal Bowersox is still in her own league after the "American Idol" season nine Top 11 performances Tuesday, March 24. Once again, she knocked it out of the park and showed viewers that she is way beyond any of the other contestants, emotionally, mentally and talent-wise.

Although the men had an extremely rough night, I think it will be another female singer leaving the competition this week. Paige Miles just isn't up to snuff with the other contestants. She had a poor week last week and even worse week this week. And Kara is right when she says it feels like Paige has lost her will for the competition.

The performances

Crystal Bowersox - "Me and Bobby McGee," Janis Joplin

• Simon - Wouldn't change a thing about the performance; Feels like he had been listening to a karaoke competition until she came on stage
• Kara - Thinks maybe she should put down the guitar once or twice; Wants to see her let go 100 percent
• Ellen - Amazing voice; Wants to see a little more connection between her and the audience
• Randy - That performance is exactly what is called being a star

Didi Benami - "You're No Good," Linda Ronstadt

• Simon - Didn't sound anything like her; Performance sucked the life out of her
• Kara - Felt like she was playing a character
• Ellen - Not the right song choice for her
• Randy - Loved the look; Pitch was all over the place

Lacey Brown first season nine Top 12 finalist eliminated

Katie Stevens - "Big Girls Don't Cry," Fergie

• Simon - Still not sure that she is believable; Thinks she is competing in to difficult of a market (pop)
• Kara - Totally different Katie tonight; Pop is where she belongs; Still some serious pitch issues, though
• Ellen - Looked great; Best performance for her, yet
• Randy - Likes that she listened and chose a younger song and younger look

Paige Miles - "Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)," Phil Collins

• Simon - It's like she stopped competing and believing in herself; Thinks the performance killed her
• Kara - Worst vocal from her and possibly from the entire season
• Ellen - At least she looked stunning
• Randy - Terrible; Nothing about it was great

Gabrielle Kniery eliminated from 'America's Next Top Model' cycle 14 on episode two, part one

Siobhan Magnus - "Superstition," Stevie Wonders

• Simon - Thinks viewers will be split with her this week; Needs to start pushing herself and all contestants need to start making themselves relevant
• Kara - Not the best performance but still an amazing end note
• Ellen - Wanted to see more of it because it was so amazing
• Randy - Absolutely loved it: Loved that she just went for
