This year's CMA Award show proved to all country music fans that country music stars stand up for their own! Co-hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley repeatedly mocked Kayne West for inappropriately interrupting Taylor Swift on stage at MTV's VMAs earlier this year.
At the beginning of a show, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley performed the classic song "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys", but made a few modifications to the original lyrics. Brad and Carrie belted out, "Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be Kayne. Let them pick guitars and drive them old trucks, 'cause cowboys have manners, they don't interrupt."
Later in the performance, 88 year old country star Little Jimmy Dickens also took a jab at the rapper. While Brad Paisley was talking about his "Welcome to the Future" video, Dickens burst onto stage, interrupted him and said, "I'll let you finish later. I know you had a nice video and all, but Taylor Swift made the best video of all time. You go girl!"
Despite the publicly mocking the controversial rapper, Paisley says he's not worried about offending Kayne West.
