Sesame Street, which recently banned Katy Perry's skit for her chest baring wardrobe, is now spoofing "True Blood." Parents who complained about Katy Perry's outfit, will surely have something to say about this.
Sesame Street is now taking on "True Blood" with a parody titled "True Mud." Bill and Sookie look alike muppets are seen talking "true mud" with a spoof that even includes the opening title song.
This "True Blood" parody comes on the same day that PBS announced Katy Perry's skit would not be seen on air due to parents protesting her low cut dress.
A spokesperson for PBS released a statement saying, "In light of the feedback we've received on the Katy Perry music video which was released on You Tube only, we have decided we will not air the segment on the television broadcast of Sesame Street, which is aimed at preschoolers," the show's producers said in a statement. "Katy Perry fans will still be able to view the video on You Tube."
"I don't like this skit. There's nothing bad in it. It just seems they are trying to entertain the parents who are stuck watching TV with their kids," said one local resident. What do you think? Since Sesame Street is aimed at preschoolers is a "True Blood" parody appropriate after the Katy Perry controversy? Should parents be upset with PBS' recent decisions for Sesame Street? If Katy Perry is inappropriate, so is a True Blood parady. Probably more so. True Blood is adult programming. If Katy Perry's video is banned because of cleavage, I'm curious how much cleavage Miss Piggy has shown over the years!!??
PBS = PROGRESSIVE Broadcasting Station. Do you get it now?
