Katherine Heigl suffers wardrobe malfunction at the Vegas ShoWest convention (Pictures)

Katherine Heigl debuted her new brunette look at the ShoWest convention in Las Vegas on Thursday, but it was her unexpected wardrobe malfunction that captured headlines the next day.  The former Grey's Anatomy star was accepting the Female Star of the Year Award when a strap on her low cut red dress snapped.

While Heigl attempted to stay composed during the wardrobe malfunction, it was Billy Bush who rushed to her aid.  Bush saved Heigl's embarrassing moment from becoming a major disaster, holding the actress' dress in place.

This month, it was announced that Katherine Heigl would leave Grey's Anatomy after nearly six years.  E! Online reported that she has been asking to leave the medical drama for close to three years.  Creator and executive producer Shonda Rhimes granted Heigl's request this week.

Below, check out a few pictures of Katherine Heigl's unfortunate wardrobe malfunction at the ShoWest convention in Las Vegas.

Lovely woman. But why all the shame and embarrassment? I'll never understand why we think that the sight of breasts is somehow harmful to children.
