'Color of Change' sparks advertisers to flee from FOX News' Glenn Beck

Glenn Beck Loses Advertisers
Glenn Beck loses advertisers (FOX)

Color of Change, an organization created to make government more aware and responsive to issues concerning African-Americans, has crafted an online petition that has cost FOX News' Glenn Beck advertisers.  The petition has so far garnered 75,000 signatures

Beck, who recently called President Obama a "racist" and claimed that Obama has "hatred for white people," has begun to lose key advertisers for his self-titled program.

Geico and Lawyers.com have pulled their ads from the FOX News show, and Procter & Gamble, Progressive Insurance and SC Johnson have all claimed their ads were run in error and vowed to correct the mistake.

It's hard to tell what kind of impact this will have on Beck and FOX News long-term, especially considering a FOX representative has come out and claimed that while Geico will no longer support Beck's show, they will continue to air their ads on other FOX News programs.

Glenn Beck makes a mockery of the United States and Christianity everyday he is on the air. Any company or product associated with his program should be boycotted.

Pathetic. Obviously they must fear the truth and content of Mr. Beck's words otherwise they wouldnt have to blackmail sponsors as the only means to try and block him

Another Leftist organization such as ACORN and SEIF who have an agenda to disrupt the U.S. and are in a indirect way associated with Obama, the cronies on his staff, and his relationships in the past with other radical people.

I will boycott any advertisers who don't have the guts to stand up to this kind of leftist blackmail.

I have heard Beck say things that I may not agree with (yet?) and I have heard leftist media types say things about Bush and others (Palin) that I will never agree with. It seems to me that some of our citizens of color in this country want it both ways - they can get away with racially charged retoric but no "white" man can. Seems a bit hypocritical to this white guy.

Beck is right. there are just too many remarks and now political appointments to prove what he is saying. I wish he was wrong, but he isn't. racist? I think so. Deep seated hatred of white people? I don't know. I do know he won't go out of his way to say anything good about "white america" (By the way, white america doesn't exist in my mind. JUST AMERICA!)

I will now review who receives my money. I will not support with my purchases those companies who will not stand by a great American with an omportant and timely message

Geico and Lawyers.com have pulled their ads from the FOX News show, and Procter & Gamble, Progressive Insurance and SC Johnson have all claimed their ads were run in error and vowed to correct the mistake.

They have every right to pull out their support of this personality but likewise myself and millions of other customers have the right to not support these companies. Funny how it works both ways...
