'Royal Pains' takes the morning after pill

A bark mitzvah, arranged marriage, and quarantine are all rolled into one episode of Royal Pains (http://www.usanetwork.com/series/royalpains/) to a very entertaining effect.  "New Parts" Newberg (Christine Ebersole [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0002056/]), who had a "flat tire" re-inflated by Hank (Mark Feuerstein [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0275417/]) in the pilot (http://www.examiner.com/x-13568-Austin-TV-Examiner~y2009m6d15-Royal-Pains-does-not-disappoint), has recurred.  This time around, she's throwing a bark mitzvah for her dog, Koufax, and her right-hand woman, i.e., maid has fallen ill, and so she calls on Hank MED to nurse her back to health stat.  And the call could not come at a better time for Hank, seeing as it interrupts an extremely awkward first morning after their first night of debauchery for him and Jill (Jill Flint [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1543216/])--the highlight of which involves Evan (Paulo Costanzo [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0182455/]) forgetting how to knock.  That is not Evan's only contribution to this jam-packed episode, he also manages to learn of Divya's (Reshma Shetty [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2439805/]) impending arranged marriage, much to her chagrin.  And if that weren't enough, treating Newberg's maid's illness is proving very difficult for Hank, which is especially disturbing, because it's spreading.  A fact that forces he and Jill to quarantine the bark mitzvah while they search for a cure.

Another altogether excellent episode for Dr. Hank and crew.  Divya opens up a bit, Hank and Jill's relationship continues to blossom, and Hank takes it to the limit with his Dr. MacGyver routine one more time.  This show just keeps getting better and better, and, hopefully, that will remain the case throughout its run.
