Sandra Bullock single again?

The Oscar-winning star of the hit movie “The Blind Side,” Sandra Bullock is officially single. She split from her husband of more than four years Jesse James after allegations of infidelity. On Monday June 28, 2010 it was confirmed with the Travis County Court Clerk that her divorce was finalized. Bullock 45, began an adoption before she separated from James. She is now raising her son Louis Bardo Bullock by herself. She has said in interviews after the cheating scandal broke about James’ involvement with Louis, “I will be adopting as a single parent. Anything else will be taken day by day.”

Jesse James is the star of the Discovery Channel’s “Monster Garage” and owner of West Coast Choppers in Long Beach, CA. He was allegedly having a sordid affair with a stripper named Michelle “Bombshell” McGee. It’s been reported that the affair started when Bullock was in Atlanta filming “The Blind Side”. The scandal received heavy media coverage because Bullock’s high profile. At the time, she was riding on the tails of two successful films out and won a Golden Globe and an Academy Award. In her acceptance speech at the Golden Globes she credited her husband for her success saying,

There's no surprise that my work got better when I met you. Because I never knew what it felt like for someone to have my back.

Bullock filed for divorce citing the reason as being “Discord or conflict of personalities” that “ prevents any reasonable expectations of reconciliation.” Although the Travis County Court has sealed the details of their divorce settlement, it is believed that it was amicable. Bullock was close to her step-children so it’s presumed that she will have some type of continued contact with them. Bullock and James have approximately the same net worth so they are expected to walk away from the marriage without any spousal support being awarded.

Bullock has moved on with her life. She purchased a home in New Orleans where has been raising her infant son Louis. Bullock has made a few public appearances even poking fun at herself; a sign that things are starting to get back to normal for America’s Sweetheart.
