Just one day after the successful debut of The CW’s new series “The Vampire Diaries,” mug shots of some of the cast surface. 20 year old actress Nina Dobrev, the show’s female lead was among four female cast members arrested for disorderly conduct by the Monroe County Sherriff’s Department in Forsyth, GA on August 22, 2009, according to an incident report obtained by radaronline.com. A male cameraman and an actress not part of “TVD” cast were also arrested. Dobrev plays small town good girl Elena Gilbert. Elena falls in love with a good vampire played by Paul Wesley.

According to the report, Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a bridge over Interstate-75 because of reports that kids were hanging off the bridge and flashing passing motorist. A man identified as 27 year old Tyler Shields, a cameraman for the show, told deputies that the group were “Taking pictures for the show.” The report states that the camera in Shields possession showed that the young women were in deed hanging off the bridge. The group was detained at the county Sherriff’s office. The other women arrested were identified as 24 year old Kayla Ewell (Vicki), 22 year old Sara Canning (Jenna), 22 year old Candice Accola (Caroline), and actress Krystal Vayda.
The season premiere of “The Vampire Diaries” set a CW record in total viewership, surpassing the series premiere of The CW’s “90210.” Thursday’s episode of “TVD” was watched by 4.8 million viewers. The network placed third in the ratings for the night according to the industry publication Broadcasting & Cable. The show seems to be off to a great start; unfortunately we aren’t able to say the same for its young female stars. “The Vampire Dairies” is filmed in Forsyth and surrounding areas.
