"Big Brother" eviction night

Chima won last week’s HOH competition, and she was out for blood. Chima had two targets in mind for eviction and let her intentions be known at the nomination ceremony. This week Chima nominated Russell, the real-estate broker and mixed martial arts fighter from Walnut Creek, CA.and Lydia, the makeup artist and former nanny from Torrance, CA.

This week, Kevin won the Veto competition. During the Veto ceremony Kevin decided not to use the Power of Veto and to leave Chima’s nominations as they are.

Tensions were high this week with the knowledge that one of the houseguests has the coup D'etat. Jessie and Jeff got into a heated argument. This week there was speculation that Jeff could have the mystery power. Jeff denied those accusations, as he should if he wanted to keep the power, per “Big Brother’s” rules.

Tonight is also the last opportunity Jeff will have to use the coup D'etat. The coup D'etat gives the holder the ability to overthrow the current HOH and select his own choices for eviction.

Before the voting for eviction began, Julie asked if the person who has the mystery power would like to use it… please stand. Jeff stood up signaling his desire to use the mystery power. Julie informed the house about the coup D'etat and indicated that Chima the previous HOH and Kevin the Veto holder were safe from nomination. Most of the houseguests were stunned, especially Jordan.

Jeff was secretly awarded the coup D'etat.  He used it
 to nominate Jessie and Natalie.

Julie asked Jeff if he would like to remove Lydia from the chopping block.  Jeff says yes and replaces her with Natalie. Julie then asks if he wants to remove Russell from the block. Again Jeff says yes and replaces Russell with Jessie

Now Jessie and Natalie are up for eviction. Jeff then addresses the two nominees saying, “As I’ve learned from both of you this is just a game…. I know you’re upset but you guys run this house and haven’t had a chance to feel the block…. I got the power and now you guys have to feel the pain a little bit. Enjoy!”

Julie as usual gave the nominees an opportunity to plead their cases to the other houseguests, Natalie pleaded to the house by saying that she had nothing bad to say about Jessie. She also said that “She has been loyal in this house... there are certain people I’ve given my word to and I have not gone back on my word. So if I go home tonight I will leave knowing I have been loyal”

Jessie said in his speech, mostly directed at Jeff “This was the worst case scenario and the best move you’ve done so far.” Jessie congratulated Jeff and continued his speech by saying “I saw it coming.” He also told Lydia and Kevin that it’s now up to them.

The house then began its live vote, Jeff, Chima, and the two nominees Jessie and Natalie were not allowed to vote.

Lydia voted to evict Natalie
Jordan voted to evict Jessie
Kevin voted to evict Jessie
Michele voted to evict Jessie
Russell voted to evict Natalie

With a vote of 3-2, Jessie was evicted from the “Big Brother” house. Jessie becomes the first member of the "Big Brother" jury and will help decide this season’s winner.

Michele becomes this week's HOH

The HOH competition called Hit The Road, consisted of questions about previous competitions in the house this season. The answer to the questions would be one of the following, HOH, Have Not or Veto. The houseguests will compete in pairs. The person to correctly answer moves on and picks the next two players. The loser is eliminated. The last houseguest standing becomes the new HOH.

The first up are Lydia and Kevin
Kevin answers the first question correctly and Lydia is eliminated.  Kevin then picks Jeff and Russell to compete next. The game continues until there are two players left, Michele and Kevin. Michele buzzes in first and answers the question correctly becoming the new HOH.

Live feeds from the "Big Brother" house can be seen on "Big Brother After Dark" from midnight until 3 a.m on Showtime 2. You can also enter the "Big Brother" video mashup of the week contest. Videos are voted on by "Big Brother" fans at CBS.com. The video with the most votes could be featured on an upcoming “Big Brother” episode.
