Jennifer Lopez is reportedly no longer being considered for the American Idol judge spot.
Greed can get the best of most of us; it certainly did for Jennifer Lopez.
The actress/singer who was being considered for one of the spots on American Idol’s judging panel was passed over because she was way too demanding, according to People.com.
Last month, published reports suggested that Jennifer Lopez had thrown her hat in the ring to become one of the judges on American Idol.
With the news that Ellen DeGeneres was no longer interested in being a judge on the hit televised singing competition, people were either excited or disappointed to hear of Jennifer’s interest in judging.
According to rumors, Jennifer’s longtime manager Benny Medina orchestrated the entire deal.
The New York Times suggested that Jennifer was holding out on inking a deal with Fox so that she could sweeten the deal with a few extra perks.
The Fox network was said to have refrained from confirming reports that Jennifer had signed on to become a judge. This was done to see what reaction the news would garner which would help in making a final decision.
To say the least, American Idol fans were divided when it came to the news that Jennifer could be the new judge. For one, she isn't considered one of the best singers which led people to question what her credibility would be in judging a singing competition.
In the end, Jennifer has been voted out of consideration in becoming an American Idol judge.
Meanwhile back at the Cannon residence, Nick Cannon has revealed that wife Mariah Carey is interested in becoming an Idol judge. Things could get interesting if Fox takes the bait and calls Mariah with an offer.
