3 days after the foiled Fruit of the Boom attack, Obama gave a speech

(AP)

"A good plan, violently executed now, is better than a perfect plan next week." ~ General George S. Patton.

Americans learned of another attempted terrorist attack within the borders of the United States, and eagerly awaited a statement from their "fearless leader", and waited, and waited....

Three days later, President Obama made a speech. He stated that he advised Attorney General Eric Holder, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, and his Counter-terrorism and Homeland Security Adviser John Brennan, to "continue monitoring the situation, to keep the American people and members of Congress informed."

These are the same officials advising Obama on closing down Guantanamo Bay Detention Center, and in the process, returning 9/11 terrorists to New York City. These are the same officials that were warned about Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab's radical ideals and recent trip to Yemen, by the attempted terrorists own father, through the US Embassy on November 19, 2009, a full month prior to the underpants being ignited. On November 20, the Counter-terrorism Unit dismissed the information.

Yet, Janet Napolitano stated "The system worked.", but later said the "Statement was taken out of context." citing that the system worked after the blunderpants bomber was stopped by civilians on the plane. She stated they were able to tell the pilots and airports, and call law enforcement to tell them of the situation.

The Obama administration began placing the blame on the TSA, procedural deficiencies, and everyone else except Batman. He should remember that as the head goes, so does the body. If there is a problem within an organization, it is the responsibility of those who run the organization. The true fault of this lies squarely on the shoulders of Obama and his three stooges.

Obama's response was that his administration assured safe landings, and will review terrorism procedures. Will those also be published on the web?

The message Obama is conveying to terrorists? "We're watching you, and if you do something, we'll watch that too. We then will promptly write a speech about it and put together various investigational panels to determine why this happened and how we'll deal with it next time it happens. If all else fails, we'll cut your funding, but just a little. I still want you to like me."

This confirms it all--You right wing nutjobs are more dangerous than the terrorists. You are hoping for an attack. You couldn't wait to accuse Obama of having allowed a terrorist attack. HE DIDN'T!!! No wonder Bush and Cheney wanted to do everything but fight terrorism. The Department of Homeland Security? That was a "union killing" ploy.
"Richard Reed, otherwise known as the, "shoe bomber" tries to bring down a plane, within three months of 911 (THAT HAPPENED ON THEIR WATCH!!!)and is tried in U.S. federal court. BUSH WAITED SIX DAYS TO RESPOND--AND HE WAS STILL ON VACATION WHEN HE FINALLY DID RESPOND.

I'm not a fan of Bush, but this was new territory at the time. He should have addressed the public more promptly and I would have called him on that if I was reporting then.

Obama has been softening America's stance against terrorism and this is the result. They hadn't tried this again under Bush. If you look at websites from other countries, you will see that America is now seen as weak and soft in the eyes of the world.

Expect more attacks. Pray that I'm wrong. I do.
