Christa Scott, 26, has been charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, DUI and reckless driving.

After leaving her job at Door 44 in Atlanta, with a blood alcohol level of .229, nearly three times the legal limit in Georgia. Scott's life has been changed and the life of Jordan Griner has been lost.

Scott's Ford Mustang slammed into Jordan Griner's car just a little after 4 a.m.. Griner, 24, who had been Governor Perdue's intern, was the designated driver that evening for his group of friends. After being taken to the local hospital, Griner died of complications due to the injuries he sustained in the accident.

Christa Scott waived her first court appearance Monday morning. A judge set bond at $100,000 and scheduled a preliminary hearing for July 6, 2010.

Monday evening, at 10:20, Scott bonded out and made no statements while being escorted to a waiting car outside the Fulton County Sheriff's Office.

She is facing 3-15 years on the homicide charge with a mandatory minimum of one year to serve. However, because of her BAC, she will likely be sentenced in the higher end of that range. Assuming no prior felonies and good behavior in prison, she can expect to serve around 9-10 years.

Leave her Alone, I'm sure that she, along with her family are going through a lot. She is actually a very good person with a huge heart which tells me that she is going through it right now. No need to kick her while she's down. She's human ........ Keep your head up Christa and be strong.... we love you

You know what, I feel sorry for her. The only reason she's getting all of this media attention and harassment is because she killed some dude who happened to work for Perdue. Why is this dude more important than anyone else?

I have known Christa for years. It such a shame and a tragedy that this has happened. One mistake can change a persons life forever. In this case 2. Christa is a good person that just made a horrible decision. She is the one that has to pay the price for the choices that she has made. I am sure her family and friends are going through a difficult time, just as the boys family is, but as the other person said, "There is no need to kick a person when they are down." She and she alone, will pay for the mistakes that she has made. My prayers go out to both families.

I'm not by any way saying she didn't do anything wrong! I am saying great, kind people make mistakes! She made a very poor choice to get behind the wheel that night. I'm sure this will effect her in so many ways for the rest of her life. Dosnt mean people should make her out to be this horriable person! She will be punished and justice will be served. She doesn't desrve to be trashed!

Wait for the facts people, we are so quick to jump to conclusions! This is why we have trials in court, you people are feeding the problem! If you don't have all the facts wait to make an opinion! How do we know she ran the red light? what was the victims BAC? How many people did he take home?, 4am sounds pretty late when he does'nt work in a club! Let the facts come out before you make your opinion!!!!

@ Law Pro....you obviously haven't been following this story closely. He was the DD, and he had no alcohol in his system. And in case you've never noticed, almost every light on peachtree has red light cameras to catch this.

@ niece....because in this country all you have to do is cry "I made a mistake and get off". Her only mistake here was that she thought, like many who drink and drive I'm sure, that it would never happen to her. That kind of ingorance in today's society is simply unexcusable. She should go away for a long, long time.
