Before you cringe at the thought of your beloved True Blood vampires being mass produced by Matel® into cheesy action figures, take a look at the image in this article. This doll is not the fluff designated to the Twilight characters recently. No, this gem is a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted sculpture by doll maker Nina Mason. Lovingly carved from Creative Paper Clay and then hand-painted with a combination of acrylics, powdered pastels, and glazes, this replica of the vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) is dressed in Civil War era attire complete with a hand-sewn fabric duster jacket and high-waisted pants. Mason's creations are classic and timeless, her style perfectly suited for the characters, whether historical or fictional, she chooses to sculpt. Hopefully, we will see additional dolls from Mason fashioned after True Blood characters, both mortal and immortal alike, later this year?

Thanks for the wonderful and flattering write up Gabrielle. I'm thinking seriously of doing a Sookie, but in antebellum-era petticoats and corset. What do you think?

You're very welcome! Beautiful work! Sookie and most definitely Eric should be next on your list. I think you would have quite a few people wanting to buy one of Eric. ;)
Eric as Viking, maybe. But I don't like doing modern clothes. Do you think that would work?

P.S. I read that you do novels. I'm working on some, shopping for an agent. Any interest, help, or advice?
