Yesterday I alerted you die-hard Trubies to the new "Bitten" UK True Blood fan convention. Today, I have news of an Australian convention, as well! Indeed, the world has become utterly obsessed with the hit HBO vampire series by Alan Ball, adapted from Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse series of novels. Again, the globetrotting actors Sam Trammell and Kristen Bauer will also be attending the HUB True Blood convention in both Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, along with actor John Billingsley and the author herself, Charliane Harris. The venues for each convention have yet to be announced and additional guests are promised at a later date.
Charlaine Harris, Sam Trammell, John Billingsley, Kristen Bauer and others will be appearing on Saturday 25th September in Sydney from 9:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday the 26th September in Melbourne from 9.00am to 6.00pm. Tickets range from $100 for a day pass to $950 for a weekend Platinum Pass, which will include an evening function with the guests (Friday night in Sydney and Sunday night in Melbourne), entry into event for full day of programming, seating in the first two rows, a breakfast with the guests, priority queuing for photos an autos, an autograph from all the guests and a professional photograph with all the guests. You'll definitely have to be a True Blood fanatic to ante up nearly a grand for two days. Let's hope it's well worth that kind of cash!
