True Blood fans, are you just dying to know what will happen to your treasured vampires and their mortal comrades (or enemies)? You're in luck! HBO has released titles and spoiler synopses for all five August episodes! I warn you, if you're not looking to know exactly what will happen next month, then read no further. But, if you're like me, your curiosity is simply overwhelming and I guarantee you, you will not be disappointed!
August 2 – "Release Me" Betrayed by Daphne, Sam finds himself in the hands of Maryann and her followers. Imprisoned with Hugo in the F.O.T.S. church, Sookie uses her telepathic powers to contact Bill. Bill has been detained at the hotel by a stubbornly obsessive Lorena. Having crossed the line in his dealings with the Newlins, Jason tries desperately to sever his ties with the Fellowship of the Sun. As a result he receives his fair share of resistance from Steve and Gabe.
August 9 – "Timebomb" Sookie’s captivity takes an unexpected turn when Eric arrives to do his master’s bidding on the eve of the Fellowship’s lockdown. Back in Bon Temps, Sam finds himself in a sticky situation after making a horrific discovery at Merlotte’s. Meanwhile Andy proves no help, as usual, in coming to Sam's defense in the matter. Having been sent home by Bill, Jessica and Hoyt learn that when it comes to sex, every time is the first time. Tara and Eggs devour a mysterious meal prepared by Maryann. As you can imagine, the results are unpredictable and unexpected. Jason succeeds in settling his debt with the vampires. However, Godric looks to enlighten his more single-minded followers.
August 16 – "I Will Rise Up" A wounded Eric manages to get inside Sookie's head, much to Bill's disappointment. Sookie and Jason bond over their adventures. Lafayette and Lettie Mae try to figure out a way to wrest Tara away from Maryann and Eggs, whom they blame for Tara's injuries. Sam is placed in jail, along with a group of revelers from Bon Temps. While in jail Sam looks for a way to escape, while also avoiding Maryann's attentions. Eric and the vampires defend their recent actions to Nan Flanagan. The vampires are stunned when Godric decides to take the fall for their PR disaster.
August 23 – "New World in My View" Sookie, Bill, and Jason return to find Bon Temps in chaos after subjected to Maryann's antics. Lured to Merlotte’s by Arlene, Sam and Andy find cold comfort in their refuge from a group of bloodthirsty revelers. Bill soon realizes that Maryann is not easily affected by traditional vampire techniques. Meanhile, Hoyt and Jessica attempt to conceal the evidence of Maxine’s insanity. Also, Sookie attempts to reach Tara through the darkness consuming her. With Bon Temps sinking into hell, Jason rises to the occasion to rescue Sam.
August 30 – "Frenzy" Bill seeks out the advice of Sophie-Anne (Evan Rachel Wood), the Vampire Queen of Louisiana. However, he finds he must exercise patience before she gives him critical information. Meanwhile, Sookie and Lafayette realize that the job of protecting Tara from her inner demons is a far bigger challenge than originally anticipated. In desperation, Sam finds himself turning to an unlikely source for assistance and Jessica tests Hoyt’s allegiance to Maxine.
And there you have it my True Blood loyalists! Hopefully that will give you enough to sate your thirst for the next few weeks. Of course, we have a couple of weeks before all of the above begins to unfold on screen.

Loving it!!! been with the show from day 1...taking in all the blood sucking action... espcially between my favorites.. Sookie and Bill...they are hot hot hot.... although have to admit...wouldnt mind seeing a little action between the blond bad boy Eric..just for a little while... dont want to break up Sookie and Bill... I was wondering if there is a chance that could possibly bring back three of my favorites appearances of the nomad bad asses... Malcolm and Diana and the bald guy.. love them... Malcolm in particular... dont like the storyline of Maryanne.. hope they rap it up soon...she is iritating.... also wonder about the Trouseau acting cop Belfour (sorry about the spelling)Bill seemed to be surprised by his name when introduced to him.. dont know if he is a relative or what? anyway... cant wait for Sunday nights.... love this site.. keep it coming....thx
Just finished watching tonights episode...damn I love me some Eric!! I'd love to give him some of my blood. I've read the books and am so excited to watch the tension b/w Sookie and Eric grow....yum yum
Yum...this show is great and I have been watching from the beginning! Eric is the real star! Hot Hot Hot! Mary Ann needs to fall into a hole and stay there! Yuck! I could do with out her! Sundays rock and I hate waiting all week! Thank God for repeats and On demand!! I think Lafayette is one of my favorite characters of all time!!

I just can't wait for Sookie and Eric to get together (and really hope they don't deviate from this particular MAJOR book storyline).

I am so in agreement with everyone, Maryann's character has GOT TO GO! Enough already with the lame storyline. Thank god for OnDemand. I get to fast forward through that stupid storyline and see me some Eric! Yum, yummee...yum! The fact that he is a former USMC...even yummier!
Please will someone just choke the life out of Maryann. She is getting very annoying. In the book she's not that annoying.
The Maryanne story is awesome IMO, can't WAIT to see the vamps make their entrance. AWESOME SHOW.

I believe in Alex's hotness as much as the next girl, but seriously, it is not all about seeing him naked. I am much more interested in character development and I feel like maybe they rushed the "connection" thing. If they spent less time on the incredibly irritating Maryanne, they could have dragged it out a bit. The idea of Maryanne is great, but her character has no depth. How many times can Tara and Eggs black out, and how many black eyed orgies can there be before its a real stale storyline? Well, it has happened already. I am not sure I am going to love the rest of the season...but I am looking forward to the group leaving Dallas. I miss Pam!
True blood does not mean true love. Wonder why all the crazy orgies have not been enough? I guess vampires are not any different than their human counterparts when it comes to making love/relationships work. So much for Bill and Sookie and the romantic in me!

Ya,Ya,Ya, Eric is hot and all but true blood would not be what it is if it werent for the relationship between Bill and Sookie, Please dont break them up. And I agree get rid of Maryane she is super annoying I want them to get back to more of the people in the town, theres just too much craziness. Oh and what Eric did to Sookie with the whole suck the silver out of me thing was pretty smarmy stuff even for a Vampire, Eric should stick with Pam
Sundays show was off the hook..move over friday the 13th, Jason is back..love the Sam rescue.. and Terri's lines were hillarious, "ambush ambush" and "please dont hurt my special lady" "retreat, 1,2,3,4...and what about Maxine.."I never get to go to any parties.. do you know how may invitations I had to send back because of my cry baby son" lol...she is priceless. and I could watch my boy Bill all night..he is my hero..loved the slow motion going into the Queens mansion..and the "intervention" Lafayette, "Jesus and I agree to see other people but we still talk to each other" that's my guy.. love me some Lafayette..now just where was Eric when maryanne was choking Sookie..thought he was hooked into her..like Bill? anyway I love bill..dont mind a little action with Sookie and bad boy Eric..but just keep it action... real time is Bill.anyone who doubts this just look at season one...they belong together and when Sookie had to drink Bill's blood I thought that was hot hot hot. 2 more shows
