Alexander Skarsgard garners the respect of international press

The darkly devious and insanely sexy Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgård, known best for his role as the Louisiana vampire Sheriff in the hit HBO series True Blood, has graced the covers of several international magazines as of late. On top of being named one of People Magazine's "Sexiest Men Alive" of 2010, he has also been featured this week on the cover of the December issue of the French Dark Mag, as well as Sweden’s Metro Magazine. In this months' issue of Dark Mag, Skarsgard was interviewed at depth about his character as pertaining primarily to Season 1 since the second season only just debuted in France on December 1st.

The interview with Metro Magazine is a bit more general with questions regarding Skarsgard's acting career as a whole, as well as his role on True Blood. Skarsgard remarked that he is attempting to establish a permanent life in Los Angeles. He is also seeking an apartment in Venice Beach so as to be in close contact with his friends and engaged True Blood costars, Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin. He jokingly compared Venice Beach to his home in Sweden, the city of Söder.

“It’s one of the few areas where you actually can walk around. I grew up in Söder and I’m used to having my friends living some blocks away and that you meet up at the regular places and I miss it. So I will try to re-create a mini-Söder in Venice.”
