Saturday was the 5th running of the Lakefront Days Triathlon in Prior Lake, MN. During the middle of a stretch of hot August weather, the race was held on a cool, drizzly morning. Athletes did a 1/4 mile swim, 13.5 mile bike, and a 3.3 mile run.
Once the athletes were out of a bit of a weedy swim, the rest was clear sailing. They were treated to gentle rolling hills on the bike, and a paved trail run around the lake. On a nice morning for racing, the female course record was broken by nearly 5 minutes by Diane Hankee.
