Who would be on your list of top ten movie fathers?
Here's one:
#10 Mr. Incredible. Nobody knows or cares how great he was. But he adapted.
#9 Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrance in "The Shining." Ewww, creepsville still when I hear, Heeeeeere's Johnny..."
#8 Robert Duvall in "Sling Blade." I know people like this... ahhh huh. How they mess with children's minds is scary.
#7 Kevin Spacey as Lester Burnham in "American Beauty." Try to look for the good side of life, it's there.
#6 Gregory Peck as Atiticus Finch in "To Kill a Mockingbird." Deep south, small town lawyer defending African-American murderer while his young daughter watches. Whew, can you imagine?
#5 Mufasa in "The Lion King." King of the Jungle, you want responsibilities? And he handled them pretty well for young pride.
#4 Marlon Brando as Vito Corelone in "The Godfather." Similar to Mufasa, lived in a jungle, had to keep the animals in line, and at the same time not get involved with drugs.
#3 Geppetto in "Pinocchio." All fathers like to jerk our strings from time to time.
#2 Jimmy Stewart playing George Bailey in "It's a Wonderful Life." Haven't we all wondered if we are really impacting anybody's life? Positive or negative?
#1 Darth Vader. Death Star. Nuff said.
