Joan Rivers' Connection Estate for sale
Joan Rivers just added her Connecticut home to the "for sale" list of her real estate. Earlier it was reported that her New York City condo was also on the market.
This home is located on White Oaks Road, New Milford, CT and Joan Rivers is asking $6.5 million for the 5700 square foot, 4 bedroom, 4 1/2 bath estate.
It is a stone and clapboard country house with a pool and poolhouse and caretaker's cottage, barn and garage, and pond.
Rivers bought the estate in New Milford of 75 acres in December of 2000 for $1,438,400.
Joan Rivers called the house
the ugliest house [she'd] ever seen. It looked like a Denny's.
She hired a designer to give the place a complete and utter once over. The house was torn down exept for the foundation and a few stong columns and stone fireplace.
Marble bathrooms, 22 foot ceilings, 100 year old wood beams, and french doors look over a free form terrace along the back of the home.
The large country kitchen has a beamed ceiling, distressed wood floors and white cabinets with stainless appliances.
Joan Rivers called her cotton candy pink and blush bedroom the bedroom every little girl wants.
The acreage is marked by a 400 yard driveway ending in a circular drive. A private pond sits among the nearby forest.
